We would like to introduce a case study conducted by our company aimed at extending the lifespan of the distance piece with hull attached, installed in the Sox scrubber drainage pipe system. To stop corrosion originating from the flange welds and bluff body welds, we implemented a reliable high corrosion-resistant coating, primarily to reduce the risk of sudden leaks and flooding in the engine room. The coating was applied up to the flange surface, and the coated areas of the flange joint surface were finished with high surface precision through machining.
